Stone Spring Urban Development Plan Update

Stone Spring Urban Development Plan Update

The 2024 Stone Spring UDA Plan (UDA Plan) reaffirms the 2020 UDA Plan, with minor modifications. The UDA Plan is a conceptual land use guide that provides a vision for how future growth can be accommodated in the Stone Spring area located southeast side of the City, while protecting established suburban areas and the rural, agricultural areas. The UDA Plan provides a 20-year vision for the careful development of walkable mixed-use neighborhoods and works in tandem with the Comprehensive Plan.

The public is invited to attend and provide input on the Comprehensive Plan and Stone Spring Urban Development Area Plan at a public open house on April 4, 2024, with a possible additional one on April 25, 2024.  The open house(s) will be held at the Rockingham County Administration Center’s Community Room, from 4 p.m. to 6 pm.
