Administration
Management of all local programs must be performed in accordance with specific guidelines established by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). This includes:
- Interviewing the applicant
- Determining if the applicant needs a formal site plan
- Establishing and collecting bond and permit fees
- Entering the project information into the permit tracking system
- Developing an inspection schedule
- Determining whether or not the applicant needs appropriate federal and state permits
- Returning the bond upon successful completion of the project
- Maintaining a functional archive of past project files
